SILVA SHINES IN CITY'S WIN

David Silva produced a magical performance to help Manchester city record a win over West Ham United. David Silva, who exploited the vacant spaces in front of West Ham's back four the entire game, then played in Adam Johnson for the England winger to complete the rout in the 81st.

Kieron Dyer grabbed an 89th-minute consolation for the home side, which remained rooted to the bottom of the table and was booed off at the break and full time.

Arsenal plays on Monday at Manchester United, which was bumped down to third with City's win, and the blue half of Manchester — which hasn't won a trophy since 1976 — is getting more and more confident of claiming some silverware this season.
