Manchester City legend David Silva has been named the best Spanish player in the history of the Premier League. David Silva finished at the top of the rankings ahead of other Spanish footballers like Cesc Fabregas, Juan Manuel Mata, Fernando Torres and others.
David Silva won the Premier League title on four occasions with Manchester City before he left the club at the end of the last campaign. The Spanish international joined La Liga outfit Real Sociedadon a free transfer when his contract at Manchester City ended last summer.
Ex-Valencia player David Silva was part of the Manchester City squad that won the Premier League title for the first time in the club's history under the guidance of Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini. Argentine international Sergio Aguero scored with virtually the final kick of the game to hand Manchester City a much needed 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers (QPR) and the Premier League title ahead of city rivals Manchester United.
David Silva won his second Premier League title under Chilean manager Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the 2013/14 campaign after Manchester City edged ahead of Liverpool in the final two games. He went on to win two more league titles when Pep Guardiola became the Manchester City boss.
Guardiola was the Manchester City manager when they recorded an impressive 100 points to win the Premier League title at the end of the 2017/18 season and Silva was a major part of the midfield. His last Premier League title came in the following season as Manchester City edged Liverpool by one point to win the league with 98 points.
